Movie Poster Les Girls Musical Comedy USA
Original vintage movie poster for an American musical comedy film Les Girls (rhymes with play girls): "Join Les Girls and see a world of entertainment!" released in Cinemascope and Metrocolor by MGM in 1957, directed by George Cukor and starring Gene Kelly, Mitzi Gaynor, Kay Kendall, Taina Elg and Jacques Bergerac with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. Fantastic image of three beautiful young ladies wearing different coloured dance costumes, long gloves and sparkling jewellery, sitting on a big red trunk full of costumes with red flowers on the floor and travel posters on wall for England, France and Spain, the text above and below in stylised red, blue and black letters with a small image of a smiling Gene Kelly. Printed by W. F. Schey Poster Coy Pty, Ltd. Good condition, folded as issued, creases in minor tears in margins. Country: Australia, year of printing: 1957, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 101.5x68.5
