Movie Poster Invitation To The Dance Ballet
Original vintage movie poster for a dance, mime and music film directed and choreographed by Gene Kelly - Invitation to the Dance - starring Gene Kelly, Tamara Toumanova and Igor Youskevitch. Great stylised artwork depicting a couple ballet dancing with the text on the right against a colourful background and an image of Gene Kelly as a Pierrot clown below with the credit text. Tamara Toumanova (1919-1996) was a prima ballerina and actress; Igor Youskevitch (1912-1994) was a ballet dancer, choreographer and dance instructor; Gene Kelly (Eugene Curran "Gene" Kelly; 1912-1996) was a dancer, actor, singer, film director, producer and choreographer most well known for his roles in musicals.
