Movie Poster Chapaev Red Army Russian Civil War
Original vintage film poster for Chapaev, a 1934 Soviet biographical war film, directed by the Vasilyev brothers for Lenfilm, it is a heavily fictionalised biography of Vasily Ivanovich Chapayev (1887–1919), a Red Army notable commander of the Russian Civil War. The poster features images of Chapayev and Petka by the gun, Anka above, and horses galloping across the image. Printed by P Mantnieks, Riga. Large size. Fair condition, folds, large tears, creasing, staining, paper losses, 2 sheets of incomplete poster. Country of issue: Latvia, designer: S. Gutmans, size (cm): 142x100, year of printing: 1934.
