Set of 2 original vintage travel poster for Grottes de Han. 1. Photograph of the stalactites and stalagmites in the cave, bold white lettering below reads - Caves of Han and Rochefort. The most grandiose in the world in the centre of the picturesque Belgian Ardennes. For the Han Grottos, panoramic railcars depart from Rochefort or Han-sur-Lesse. Fair condition, folds, tears, pinholes, tape on top edge, minor stains, ink stamp bottom left, stamps stapled to bottom right corner. Country of issue: Belgium, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 100x61, year of printing: 1930s; 2. Han Grottoes issued by Belgian State Railways featuring a stunning photograph of people on boats inside the caves with stalactites hanging over them. Rochefort city is located in the Wallonia region, Namur Province, it is home to a major tourist attraction - the Grotto of Rochefort and the Caves of Han-sur-Lesse. Good condition, folds, staining, browning. Country of issue: Belgium, designer: Photo by Boyer, Paris, size (cm): 100x62, year of printing: 1930s. The Caves of Han-sur-Lesse (in French: Grottes de Han-sur-Lesse or simply Grottes de Han) refers to a natural complex of caves in Belgium. A major Belgian tourist attraction (around 250-300,000 visitors per year), the caves are located in Wallonia, on the outskirts of the village of Han-sur-Lesse.
