The exhibition focused on the countries and painters who contributed to developing abstract style in art: the Netherlands, dominated by Mondrain; Germany and Central Europe dominated by Kandinsky; Russia dominated by Malevich; Italy (Futurism), England (Lewis & Vorticism) and early abstract experiments in the United States.
