Travel Poster Florida Illustrated Map Gulf Oil Corporation Pictorial Brochure - Original vintage brochure with a pictorial map poster of Florida published by the Gulf Oil Corporation, featuring an image of the peninsula with mid-century illustrations depicting various facets of local life, including sports fishing, citrus farming, sunshine recreation, alligators, and historical landmarks, with comprehensive population, fishing and wildlife charts, and the iconic orange and blue Gulf Oil logo emblazoned prominently in the Gulf of Mexico. The reverse features a mileage table, and maps of the Florida Western section, St Petersburg, Tampa, Orlando, Palm Beach, Miami, Jacksonville and Cuba. Founded in 1907, Gulf Oil was a major American oil company until 1985, when it merged with Standard Oil of California SOCAL, with both rebranding as Chevron.
