Advertising Poster Divan Japonais Belle Epoque Toulouse Lautrec - Vintage reproduction of Belle Epoque advertising poster designed by the legendary French Post-Impressionist master Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901) for the Montmartre cafe-concert Divan Japonais located at 75 rue des Martyrs, managed by Ed. Fournier directeur. The poster captures the essence of late 19th-century Parisian nightlife, depicting dancer Jane Avril, elegantly dressed in a sleek, silhouette-defining black dress and an elaborate feathered black hat, sitting alongside the dandy art critic Edouard Dujardin, recognisable by his top hat and monocle. In the upper-left background on the brightly lit stage, Toulouse-Lautrec cleverly crops out the face of the celebrated performer Yvette Guilbert, identifying her solely by her signature, long black gloves. Very good condition, creasing, small tears. Country of issue: France, designer: Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, size (cm): 105.5x86, year of printing: 1970s.
