A JAPANESE TOBACCO POUCH WITH FINE M.M. MOUNTS
A vintage Japanese tobacco pouch of the 19th century. An exquisite leather case for tobacco or tabako-ire, decorated with an elaborate metal clasp kanamono. On the outside, the clasp is a plot with a rider and a character walking in front of the horse. Some details are highlighted with gilding and silvering. On the inside, the clasp is engraved with a landscape with Mount Fuji and pine trees.
