A museum poster by Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956). "Northern and Southern Workers’ Unions of the 1870s/Predecessors of the Workers’ Poster no. 1 of 25 from the series: History of the All-Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in Posters. Published by Publishing House of the Communist Academy and the Museum of the Revolution of the Soviet Union. An important Artwork by the major master of Soviet avant-garde art. History in Posters was a major commission for Rodchenko, who considered the photomontage technique to be particularly well-suited for the historic poster genre.
