FIVE GERMAN MITTERTEICH PORCELAIN BIRD PLATES SET

A set of five vintage Mitterteich German Bavarian porcelain plates. Each plate is decorated with varying scenes of birds to the center and gilded foliage patterns on the borders. Marked with manufacturer stamp and numbered 31, 42 on the back. Provenance: The present lot on auction form part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in XIX Century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY. Vintage table ware and collectibles.
