JAPANESE MINIATURE BRONZE SAMURAI KABUTO HELMET
A mid-century miniature reproduction of a Japanese Samuri helmet. Made of bronze with of decorative forged brass elements and orange cords with knotted tassles in the front. Weight: 1120 grams. Samurai helmets, also known as Kabuto, are divided into several types. The helmet in this lot is Suji-bachi kabuto, typical for the early Edo period, 17th century. The decorative element in the front traditionally indicates the clan to which the warrior belongs. Oriental Collectables, Military Uniform, Decor Items.
