A lot of three vintage zoological color lithographs with birds. First. Print depicting a red and yellow toucan bird. Titled Le Grand Toucan du Brasil no.7 underneath. Engraved by Jacques Louis Peree after Jacques Barraband circa 1800s. Jacques Barraband, 1767-1809, was a French zoological and botanical illustrator whose works were considered the most accurate at his time. Black frame. Second. A biological illustration of streamertail birds. Titled Gouldia Popelairii underneath. Executed by H.C. Richter. Published by Hullmundel & Walton, Imp. in A Monograph of the Trochilidae, vol. 3 by John Gould, 1861. John Gould, 1804-1881, was an English ornithologist who published a number of monographs on birds supplemented by engraved plates by his wife, Elizabeth Gould, and several other artists, including Henry Constantine Richter, 1821-1902, an English zoological illustrator. White mat, golden frame. Third. A lithograph from from John James Audubon's first edition of Birds of America, 1840-1844. Titled Cuvier's Kinglet, Male, Broad-leaved Laurel, Katmia Latifolia underneath. No. 27, Plate 131. The artwork was executed by J.T. Bowen.
