Vladimir Nikolaevich Nemukhin, Russian, Soviet, 1925 to 2016, mixed media collage painting on a cardboard, Solitaire Do Not Turn Over, 1999, depicting a composition with playing poker cards. Signed in the Cyrillic and dated 99 lower to the center. Unframed. Vladimir Nemukhin was a member of the Lianozov group, a representative of unofficial art, one of the classics of the second wave of the Russian avant grade. The artwork of Vladimir Nemukhin Solitaire Do not turn over continues the artists famous cycle, Card Solitaires, begun in the 1960s. The composition of the picture is deliberately complicated, the plot unfolds as if in different spaces, the combination of which creates a mystical, supernatural atmosphere. Nemukhin combines real and drawn maps on the canvas, thus turning the surface of the canvas into a place of assembly of the real and the depicted. One of a kind artwork.
