1989 ART DECO POSTER NY WORLD'S FAIR BY STEPHAN
A hand-painted poster dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the New York World's Fair and San Francisco Golden Gate Exposition, 1939-1989. The artwork depicts views of the pavillions of both events framed with Art Deco style ornaments painted in silver. Handwritten inscription En Bon Souvenir, For the Good Memories, signed Stephan and dated 2000 in the lower right. The 1939 New York World's Fair themed Dawn of a New Day was held in Queens and was the second-most expensive American world's fair of all time. The 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition held at San Francisco's Treasure Island was a World's Fair celebrating the opening of the Golden Bridge.
