ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SILVER ICON SERGIUS OF RADONEZH
An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon representing Saint Sergiy Radonezhsky, one of the most celebrated saints of the Orhodox church. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The icon is covered with a silver riza or oklad, a protecting case with repousse work. The icon is enclosed in a gilt wooden kiot framing case. Antique Russian Religious Items and Collectibles.
