RUSSIAN STUDY PAINTING BY KONSTANTIN KOROVIN
Konstantin Korovin, Russian, 1861 to 1939, oil on canvas study painting depicting a couple in the garden. Signed by the artist lower left. Circa: the late 19th century. Framed. Konstantin Alekseyevich Korovin was a leading Russian painter. In 1888, he traveled to Italy and Spain, where he produced the painting On the Balcony, Spanish Women Leonora and Ampara. Korovin traveled within Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia and exhibited with the Peredvizhniki. He painted in the Impressionist and later in the Art Nouveau styles.
