ANTIQUE MEIJI JAPANESE GINBARI CLOISONNE VASE
A fine miniature Ginbari cloisonne enamel vase with a carved stand, Meiji period, 1868 to 1912. Decorated with multicolored flowers and a flying butterfly on a gradient ground in shades of yellow and green. Unmarked. Note: Ginbari foil is an ancient enamel technique developed by Japanese artists. It is also the name of the thicker silver foil used to make one of a kind or repeated design motifs in silver.
