ANTIQUE JAPANESE WOODBLOCK BY UTAGAWA HIROSHIGE
An original woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige, 1797-1858, was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, considered the last great master of this genre painting tradition. The artwork depicts a landscape with a river crossing. Titled Shimada. From the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido series, late 1830s, Edo Period. White mat, white frame.
