WWII JAPANESE PATTERN 1897 BAYONET WITH SCABBARD
A WWII Japanese Pattern 1897 bayonet designed to be used with Arisaka Type 30 rifles. Features a single edged blade, and J shaped hooked quillon guard designed to catch and trap the enemys blade, original wooden grips secured to the tang by two screws, a pommel with a push button mechanism. Supplied with a simple sheet rolled steel scabbard. The weapon was manufactured from 1897 to 1945 at a number of locations, including the Kokura Arsenal, Koishikawa Arsenal, and Nagoya Arsenal.
