TAMARA DE LEMPICKA SIGNED ETCHING AQUATINT PRINT
An etching and aquatint in color on paper Femme a la Mandoline by Tamara de Lempicka, 1898 to 1980, a Polish Art Deco artist. The artwork depicts a woman in blue dress playing the mandolin with skyscrapers in the background. Dated ca. 1933. Signed by the artist in pencil in the lower left. Numbered 23 out of 100 in the lower left. Matted and framed. Has a Maxwell Galleries paper label on verso. Tamara de Lempicka, described as the first woman artist to be a glamour star, is known for her Art Deco-styled portraits of sexy, bedroom-eyed women in stylish dress and haunting poses.
