19TH C ANTIQUE RUSSIAN GILT SILVER TEA SET 1863
The antique Russian 3 piece set by Konstantine Pets comprising a silver teapot, a creamer and a covered sugar bowl. Each piece is hand engraved with floral decoration and has beautifully done handles and swirl finals. Original bright gilded interior. Hallmarked in multiple places with the Cyrillic PETS makers mark, an 84 silver standard, an assayers mark with the initials B.C, 1863, Moscow and French marks. Konstantin Yakovlevich Pets was a Moscow master, working in 1820-1860. The enterprise of Konstantine Pets took part in art and industrial exhibitions in 1939-1865, where it was awarded by gold medals.
