1976 KEEPSAKE PRINT QUOTE WILLIAM MORRIS EXHIBITION
A keepsake print showcasing the enduring influence of William Morriss work and printing legacy. Created for the William Morris exhibit at the Pierpont Morgan Library in 1976, it contains a quote from an unfinished essay written by Morris in the 1890s. What makes this keepsake even more special is that it was printed on an Albion band press, which was originally employed to print the Kelmscott Chaucer, one of Morriss most iconic and celebrated works. The use of the Troy type, designed by Morris himself and now preserved at Cambridge University Press, adds an extra layer of historical authenticity to this piece. Vintage Prints For Collectors.
