1896 RUSSIAN EMPIRE NICHOLAS II ONE RUBLE SILVER COIN
An antique Russian Empire one ruble silver coin. The obverse of the coin portrays a left facing bust of Emperor Nicholas II, which is a characteristic design for Russian coins of the era. The inscription says By the grace of God Nicholas II Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia. On the reverse side of the coin, there is an iconic crowned two headed eagle, which has been a symbol of Russian power and authority for centuries. The eagle often holds a scepter and orb, representing the authority of the tsar. The denomination and the date 1896 are inscribed below the eagle.
