An antique Russian Orthodox icon representing Saint Panteleimon or Pantaleon, one of the most venerated Christian Holy Healers. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a gilded wood board. Inscriptions in Church Slavonic. Marked with a stamp, Blessing of the Holy Mount Athos of the Russian Panteleimon Monastery, which this Holy Icon is sanctified, on the backside. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
