JAPANESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL OVER COPPER PLATE CHARGER
A Japanese enamel over copper plate or charger. The interior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome enamel image of birds in grape vines on the black ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The borders are covered with polychrome enamel floral and foliate scroll ornaments made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with a swirl motif on the turquoise ground made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: the first half of the 20th century.
