Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon, Russian, 1875 to 1958, color ink painting on paper depicting a Sts. Peter And Paul Church In Kozhevniki view. Signed lower left. Framed. Provenance: the artwork was a part of the collection that was sold on the Gene Shapiro Auctions, New York, Russian Art, November 3, 2010. Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon is a Russian and Soviet artist painter, master of landscape, set designer, art theorist, teacher, professor. Academician of the USSR Academy of Arts. Peoples Artist of the USSR. Winner of the Stalin Prize, first degree. Juon began his artistic work as an Impressionist landscape and genre painter with a Symbolist coloring. He also mixed in his landscape paintings elements of Palech and icon painting. One of a kind artwork.
