After Charles Abraham Chasselat, French, 1782 to 1843, a color etching depicting a scene titled Ataliba Receiving the Last Hugs from His Family. This artwork captures a moment of emotional depth and familial connection, rendered with Chasselats characteristic attention to detail and composition. Circa the mid 19th century. Framed. Born in Paris in 1782, Chasselat was the son of Pierre Chasselat and became renowned for his historical paintings. He studied under his father and Vincent, exhibiting notable works like The Repose of Belisarius in 1812. Antique Prints And Art Collectibles.
