Ernst Neizvestny, Russian, American, 1925 to 2016, a large original etching on paper, Composition with Nudity, 1971. Signed and dated in the plate, upper right. Signed and dated in pencil, lower right. Ernst Neizvestny is a Soviet and American sculptor, known for Public monument sculpture abstract figures. Member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. His style mixed Symbolism and Expressionism. Ernst Neizvestny created sculptural compositions that adorned many cities in the world. His sculptures and paintings expressing his powerful plasticity were often composed of parts of the human body. He was included in the ranking of the 40 most expensive contemporary Russian artists.
