After Henri Matisse French mixed media still life painting. The fine painting depicts a complex still-life composition with red apples in a glass bowl. The artwork is made in red and pink shades. Signed in pencil H Matisse lower right. Housed in a gilt-carved frame and matted. Henri Emile Benoit Matisse 1876 to 1958, French painter, draftsman, engraver, and sculptor. One of the main European artists of the modernist period. He entered the history of art with his desire to convey emotions through form and color.
