RUSSIAN SILVER ENAMEL CROSS PENDANT WITH PEARLS
A Russian gilt silver Orthodox cross with polychrome ornamental enamel design in white, blue, and green. The cross is topped with a Monomakhs Cap. Four sapphires are inset on the sides of the cross. Three small baroque pearls are attached to the bottom of the pendant. Hallmark of the 88 Russian silver standard and makers mark are on the backside and on the fitting ring. Monomakhs Cap, also called the Golden Cap, is a chief relic of the Russian Tsars, the symbol of Imperial power. Russian Religious Items And Luxury Jewelry. Weight 9.66 g.
