AFTER CLAUDE MICHEL CLODION FRENCH BRONZE SCULPTURE
An antique French gilt bronze sculpture after Claude Michel Clodion, 1738 to 1814, featuring a finely cast rendition of his celebrated 1762 model Bacchanalia. The naturalistic base enhances the dynamic composition, and the sculpture bears the signature Clodion. Dating to the 19th century. Claude Michel, known as Clodion, was a French sculptor in the Rococo style, especially noted for his works in marble, bronze, and terracotta. Antique French Sculptures And Bronzes For Collectors.
