ATTR TO MAUD LEWIS CANADIAN SEASCAPE OIL PAINTING
Gouache on paper painting. Attributed to Maud Lewis, 1903 to 1970, a Canadian folk artist from Nova Scotia. She achieved national recognition in 1964 and 1965 for her cheerful paintings of landscapes, animals and flowers, which offer a nostalgic and optimistic vision of her native province. This lot represents a sailing ship at a port. Signed in the lower left. Undated. Unframed. Collectible Graphic Art, Women Artists, Rural Landscape.
