Mid-20th-Century Alfred Meakin Water Lily and Blue Glazed Earthenware Tablewares - Alfred Meakin Water Lily pattern and coordinating sky-blue glazed earthenware tablewares, dating to the mid-20th-century. The collection includes two tureen lids decorated with multi-coloured transfer-printed water lilies, green pads, and reeds against a cream-coloured ground. The coordinating pieces, including a gravy boat, cream jug, and bowls, feature a solid sky-blue exterior glaze with gilded highlights to the rims and handles. A twin-handled sugar bowl is further embellished with a gold-coloured foliate scroll band. A printed green backstamp featuring a crown over the text ALFRED MEAKIN and ENGLAND is visible on the underside of a saucer. No other factory marks or signatures are visible.
