Victorian-Style Copper Wall Lantern and Cast Iron Mounting Bracket - A Victorian-style outdoor wall-mounted lantern set, comprising a large-scale lantern head and a heavy-duty mounting bracket. The lantern head is of a tapering square form, constructed from copper panels with a tiered, domed ventilator top and decorative foliate moulded corners. The copper exterior displays a heavy and natural green verdigris patina throughout. The accompanying wall bracket is made of heavy cast iron, featuring an ornate scrolling foliate design, a flat rectangular wall-mounting plate, and a square platform to receive the lantern base. A central conduit is visible within the bracket, which would have originally housed gas piping or electrical wiring. No maker's marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the lantern head or the bracket.
