Mid-20th Century Scheurich-Keramik Glazed Earthenware Floor Vase - A mid-20th century Scheurich-Keramik floor vase, manufactured in West Germany during the period frequently associated with Fat Lava ceramic production. The piece is crafted from earthenware and features a tall, ovoid body tapering to a narrow neck with a prominent, thickened, out-turned rim. The exterior is finished with a characteristic reactive drip glaze; the upper shoulder and rim are decorated with a mottled dark brown and black glaze which transitions into a broad central band of cream-coloured glaze. The lower half of the vessel is finished in a deep, dark glaze with forest green and black undertones, meeting the central band with an irregular, wavy dripped border. The interior is coated in a uniform dark glaze. The base displays embossed relief markings; 'scheurich - KERAMIK' is arranged in an upper arc above the model and size digits '291-38', with 'W. GERMANY' in a lower arc. A small circular mark is positioned above the top arc. Height: approximately 38cm.
