Two 20th-Century Painted Wood Desks including a Faux-Bamboo Style Dressing Table - Two separate pieces of painted wooden furniture. The first piece is a 20th century twin-pedestal dressing table or kneehole desk designed in the faux-bamboo style, featuring a wooden frame turned to simulate bamboo and finished in an off-white paint. The rectangular top consists of a woven cane panel inset beneath a protective glass sheet. The desk is configured with four drawers, two to each pedestal, featuring white spherical knobs. The second piece is a 20th-century decorative occasional table or writing desk, featuring a cream-coloured painted finish with a serpentine-fronted top decorated with a hand-painted border of pink blossoms and green leaves. The piece includes a single central drawer fitted with a floral ceramic knob and stands on four ring-turned legs. No maker's marks, stamps, or labels are visible on either piece.
