The construction features a fall-front decorated with a chevron-patterned V-match veneer and is fitted with a single horizontal base-metal handle. The interior contains a series of open pigeonholes and compartments above a green felt-lined writing surface with metal corner protectors. The main body is flanked by two integral side troughs, designed for magazines or newspapers. The entire unit is raised on four square-section tapered legs, which are joined by a single open lower shelf. No maker's marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the piece.
