Two Early 20th Century Wooden Cased Clocks Including Ansonia 8-Day Wall Clock - Two early 20th-century wooden-cased clocks comprising a wall-mounted gallery clock and a mantel alarm clock. The wall clock is housed in a dark-stained circular wooden case featuring a deep, diagonal rope-patterned carved border. Its cream-coloured dial is set with black Roman numerals, spade hands, and a regulation slot marked S and F. A subsidiary seconds dial is positioned below the XII mark. The dial is printed with a central A within a diamond trademark above 8 DAY TIME. and is marked MANUFACTURED BY THE ANSONIA CLOCK CO., NEW YORK, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA along the bottom edge. The second item is a mantel alarm clock in a circular wooden case, raised on two bun feet and topped with a nickel-plated dome bell and ring handle. It features a cream dial with stylised Arabic numerals and a decorative gilt-metal central plate. No maker's marks, hallmarks, or signatures are visible on the mantel clock.
