Vintage Dewhurst's Sylko and Assorted Sewing Notions including Wooden Thread Spools - An assortment of vintage and antique sewing notions and threads dating from the early to mid-20th century. The collection primarily consists of numerous thread spools, featuring a significant number of traditional wooden types alongside later plastic versions. Notable items include an original blue and white cardboard box for Dewhurst's Sylko Machine Twist, which is printed with Silk Substitute and Made in Great Britain. Several wooden spools are printed with the Dewhurst's Sylko and Anchor brand names. The lot further includes carded Propeller bias binding, a carded spool of Magicolor transparent thread in National Smoke, and various lace trimmings and metal zippers contained in clear plastic bags. A handwritten cardboard slip reading Thread in blue ink is also present. The threads appear in a variety of colours including red, green, and brown. A spool within a plastic bag retains a black and gold label partially reading Power Machine. No other maker marks, labels, or hallmarks are visible.
