Late Victorian Rococo Revival Carved Hardwood Overmantel Mirror - A late 19th-century Victorian overmantel wall mirror in the Rococo Revival style. The frame is constructed from a dark-stained, ebonised wood, featuring a serpentine top rail with a prominent central cresting. This cresting is intricately carved with a central shell motif, blooming flowers, and foliate scrolls. The side sections transition into scrolling shoulders embellished with incised rayed decoration. The mirror glass plate is wide and bevelled, following the shaped silhouette of the frame. No maker’s marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on the front or sides of the frame.
