Five Regency and George III-Style Mahogany Dining Chairs - An assortment of five mahogany dining chairs comprising a set of three in the Regency style and a pair in the George III style. The Regency-style chairs are constructed with curved bar-back uprights transitioning into sabre rear legs, with the top rails and horizontal mid-rails embellished with burr-wood veneer panels and fine line stringing. They are supported on turned and reeded front legs and are upholstered with fixed seats in sage-green velvet. The pair of George III-style side chairs features modified shield-form backs with central pierced splats decorated with carved wheat-ear and foliate motifs. These chairs are raised on square tapering legs and upholstered with fixed seats in a chartreuse-green velvet fabric. No maker's marks, manufacturer labels, or stamps are visible on the mahogany frames or underframes of either set.
