Two Mid-Century Ercol Quaker Elm and Beech Armchairs - Two Mid-Century Ercol Quaker armchairs, model 365A, manufactured in High Wycombe, England. The chairs feature characteristic Windsor-style construction with steam-bent beech hoop backs enclosing five vertical spindles that pass through a central horizontal rail. The curved armrests are supported by splayed spindles, and the chairs are fitted with solid, shaped elm seats showing a prominent grain. Each chair is raised on four tapered beech legs connected by a central H-frame stretcher and retains a light-to-medium wood finish. The chairs are supplied with removable, tie-on seat cushions upholstered in a floral tapestry-style fabric featuring leaf and flower patterns in shades of green, yellow, and beige. A blue and silver-toned foil label is present on the rear of the seat rails, printed with MADE IN, a stylized lion logo, ERCOL, and ENGLAND.
