Mid-Century Sylvac-style Matte Black Ceramic Horse Figurine - A mid-century Sylvac-style ceramic figurine of a galloping horse. The sculpture is modelled in a dynamic, leaping pose, supported by a base of scrolling, wave-like elements. It is finished in a uniform matte black glaze over a white earthenware body, featuring a small hand-painted floral spray of yellow-coloured blossoms and green foliage to the front of the base. The hollow underside of the base features an impressed letter B followed by the digits 3 0, situated above a faint oval-shaped impressed mark which is not clearly legible as a name. No further factory marks or decorator signatures are visible.
