Mid-20th Century Hand-Painted Wooden Catering Sign - A mid-20th-century hand-painted trade sign, likely produced for a British tea room or cafe. The sign is constructed from a rectangular plywood board with a cream-coloured painted ground, featuring hand-lettered text in black and grey. The typography includes a mixture of serif and brush-script styles, advertising Teas, Coffees, Hot & Cold Snacks, HOME MADE CAKES, ICE CREAM, and SOFT DRINKS. A simple grey decorative scroll flourish is painted at the base. The sign is commercial in nature and bears no maker marks, signatures, or brand names. The reverse is unpainted, showing the natural grain and construction of the timber board. Height: Approximately 127 cm.
