Carlton Ware The Carlton Girl Hollyhocks Polychrome Ceramic Figurine - An Art Deco-style Carlton Ware ceramic figurine from The Carlton Girl series, titled Hollyhocks probably made in the 1970s. The piece features a stylized nude female figure reclining against a vertical spray of large, vibrant hollyhock blossoms. The figurine is crafted from earthenware and decorated in a brilliant polychrome palette, featuring high-gloss glazes in shades of red, pink, yellow, and blue for the flowers, and a smooth cream-coloured glaze for the figure's skin. The figure is detailed with hand-painted facial features and dark brown hair. On the underside of the base is a black printed mark with Carlton Ware in cursive script, a registered trademark symbol, and the words MADE IN ENGLAND in sans-serif capitals.
