Vintage British Steel and Wood School Crossing Patrol Lollipop Sign - A vintage British school crossing patrol sign, colloquially known as a ”Lollipop” sign, likely dating from the late 20th-century. The circular sign head is constructed from metal with a reflective yellow face featuring horizontal ribbing, bordered by a bold red band. The face is printed with black sans-serif block capitals reading STOP and CHILDREN, separated by a thick black horizontal bar. The sign is mounted onto a tall wooden pole, which is painted in alternating sections of black and yellow. A red metal mounting bracket at the top secures the head to the pole with a single bolt. The pole terminates in a black-painted lower section. No manufacturer marks, patent numbers, or date stamps are visible on the sign head or the pole. Head diameter: approx. 45–50 cm. Height: approx. 1.5–1.8 m.
