Edwardian Dark Stained Oak Barley Twist Plant Stand - An Edwardian-style plant stand or torchere, likely dating from the early 20th century. The piece is constructed from a dark-stained hardwood, possibly oak, with an ebonised appearance. The circular top features a raised, moulded rim forming a shallow dish-like surface. The stand is supported by four slender legs, each decorated with a barley-twist turned upper section that transitions into a square-section block. These legs are united by a cross-stretcher which incorporates matching barley-twist spindles and a central turned finial. The legs terminate in out-swept feet. No maker's marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the underside of the top, the apron, or the base components.
