Bidspirit auction | Mid-Century Modern Emerald Green Glass

Mid-Century Modern Emerald Green Glass Genie Bottle Decanter - A Mid-Century modern glass decanter with a matching flame-form stopper, likely dating from the 1960s or 1970s. The vessel is crafted from vibrant emerald green glass using a mold-blown technique, featuring a wide conical base that tapers into a slender, annulated neck decorated with four integral raised rings. The tall spire stopper is designed with a bulbous section above a ground peg. The overall form is characteristic of the decorative glassware produced in the Empoli region of Italy during the mid-20th-century. No maker's marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps are visible on the base or body of the decanter. The base shows a slightly recessed center, and the glass contains occasional small air bubbles or seeds inherent to the manufacturing process.
