Assorted Antique and Vintage Wooden and Decorative Boxes Including Asian-Style Camphor Chest - A collection of vintage and antique decorative boxes in various materials and styles. The group includes a large dark-stained hardwood chest, possibly camphor wood, featuring brass corner reinforcements, decorative strapwork, and a circular shou character-style brass swing handle. A smaller oak box is present, finished with brass plates and an inset brass escutcheon to the front. Also included is a miniature domed-top wooden chest featuring deeply carved foliate and scroll motifs throughout the lid and body. A rectangular alabaster or stone box with a hinged lid is featured, showing a natural mottled orange and cream-coloured finish, alongside a small oak cigarette box with a metal plate to the lid stamped CIGARETTES. Completing the group is a dark metal box with an embossed figurative scene on the lid and a further small wooden box with a carved border. No maker marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on any of the pieces.
