Vintage Brass Stephenson's Rocket Model and Railwayana including L&Y Ry Enamel Sign - A vintage-style brass decorative model of Robert Stephenson’s Rocket steam locomotive and tender, mounted on a rectangular dark wooden plinth. The model features characteristic early 19th-century design elements including a tall vertical funnel with a flared rim, a horizontal boiler with brass strapping, and large spoked wheels. The associated tender is loaded with small pieces of mineral coal. The collection also includes several pieces of British railwayana: a shaped white vitreous enamel sign for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (L&Y Ry) Victoria Station Manchester, detailed with text for the café, platforms, and smoke rooms; two enamel station totems for Bath and Manchester Piccadilly; a cast brass Mind Your Head sign with green recessed paint; and a small cast brass instruction plate for a penny-in-the-slot mechanism. The L&Y Ry sign is printed in black with the company name abbreviated as L&Y Ry. No other maker marks or manufacturer labels are visible on the brass model or the assorted signs.
